As you read this early edition of WSNW, I will be speaking in all too sunny Orlando Florida at the AFA convention over the next few days. July 20-24 is likely to time a MAJOR key market pivot. I started fighting too early, but no matter. The July New Moon next Thursday together with the August eclipses carry enough cosmic power to overwhelm even $25 billion dollar inflows into mutual funds. If you choose to act as a RATIONAL INVESTOR, do NOT wait and make your move, whatever it may be, preferably before Monday, July 20.
Note: I wrote the above paragraph earlier this week, before we learned that new money flows may be greater than the 30 Billion dollar monthly level. If so, traders may have to cover any non-profitable shorts by next Friday, and wait until the August eclipses or retests of DJIA 9200-9300. Since much of this year's annual pattern is very similar to 1997, the 1998 market top COULD once again be August, not next week. However, always wishing to sleep soundly at night, I do not bet that way. That is one reason day trading is so popular. Likewise, my general preference for September puts in option trading covers both bases.
My general practice is to differentiate according to individual style preferences (aggressive or conservative) and time frame (short term, intermediate term and long term). I utilize a cosmic value approach longer term, and a cosmic technician approach for shorter term market moves. At the worst, should the markets continue to defy all reason and continue to soar, some of our portfolios could under benchmark short term, but longer term likely outperform. Should the inevitable happen sooner, rather than later, we are among the survivors. What is YOUR choice?

2. Over the summer I am rethinking the format of our newsletter Wall Street, Next Week. Three sections work:
1) A cosmic forecast and "market pulse" for the next week and month,
2) offering both trading and investing ideas and
3) answering reader questions that are of general interest.
Still, this is a work in progress and I welcome subscriber comments and suggestions.

4. Q: What trading vehicle are you using for your SPX short trades? Also, does your real time updates take the place of WSNW subscriber alerts for the next few weeks?
A: I would personally like the SP futures or mini SP 500 for day trading, or OEX's. If a position is planned to be held more than overnight, then I would recommend using stock options as the time premiums are far less than equivalent OEX's options. This experiment with a daily commentary, updated in real time, was an example of how we dance around a position we are holding, in this case, WSNW Alert 30 ABC. We will offer something different and more useful in the near future.
Q: My problem concerning AOL is following. Using Meridian's book I found out the August MOON eclipse conjunct SA and found two: PSFT and America on Line, AOL being the most promising for a down ride. Because that confirms your insights I would like to concentrate on AOL. However the ticker symbol in Meridianīs book for America on Line reads AMER and I only know of AOL. My questions is: Do you know whether AOL once was called AMER or do I concentrate on the wrong stock?
A: AMER went on the NASDAQ on 3/19/92. AOL went on the NY on 9/16/96.
