Yesterday July 9, we were tempted when the market hit our short target of 7990 to publically proclaim: "7000 before 8000". Instead, being more modest, we issued 8020 as the top target number for the century! :)
The Final Chapter?
The 24th/25 of June [World Short Days] a very good short through July??? We are not so much frustrated at not calling a top in the US market, which has yet to happen, as frightened for the consequences if a top is not in place by June 2000. Shades of Albania?

Our forecast of the 1997 DIJA top of March 11 last year was 100%. However, subsequently our forecasts generally picked local tops, NOT FINAL tops - Good for traders, not as good for investors. While our investing picks generally outperformed the S.& P., this is still emotionally unsatisfying. SO, between now and July.....
