Investing is one of the few games that amateurs think they KNOW better than professionals. At least they used to. True, there is a more level playing field than formerly, but there ARE rules and it is NEVER different this time... just different parameters of play.
INVESTORS ARE BEING TOLD TO "BUY, HOLD AND BUY SOME MORE";
WE SAY: "BUY, HOLD, SELL..., BUY, HOLD, SELL...."
Amateurs try to get even, but you CAN'T in a bear market. Each subsequent rally is lower: 9000, 8800, 8600, 8500, 8200 etc. Our general advice:
1) Do NOT put new money into the market.
2) Continue to raise cash.
3) ROTATE to fallen angel stocks (90% correction from 52 week high) and/or Blue Chips (50% to 70% correction or at 104 week lows).
4) Pair-switch to better values e.g.
JNJ for MRK, SNE for DIS, IBM for Dell, BN for AMZN etc.
GOOD NEWS: Congress is now less likely to allow Social Security investment in Stocks.

Friday's trading range of 7500 - 7750 is ready for a breakout. Later this week, we may go long or by September 17 as TRADERS, not investors. Ultimately, we believe these mad bulls charges will fail.

2. There is much more downside potential to most of Asia. However, I do believe it can be a good long term investment. Today, we only like Korea and to a lesser extend Singapore. Hong Kong and China will get much worse until they devalue. Japan is in a recession that will not end before 2000. Countries like Indonesia should be avoided entirely. The first to emerge will be exporting Blue Chips.
3. Make up A lists such as OXHP, IHI and BA and B lists such as JNJ and SNE. The latter will outperform in a down market if you must stay full invested - re-allocate. C list stocks such as IBM, LU, SUNW and TRV are buys AFTER A REAL CORRECTION. By the way, we are now accepting new clients 100K minimum. Offering by prospectus only.
UP Stars - Investing Buys.
Boeing (BA) ~30 1/2,

HWP upgrade from Strong Sell to market under perform.
4. A) Microsoft launched Window 98 under Saturn/Neptune. As we forecast at that time, its stock will go down SIGNIFICANTLY a few months later.
B) September 8, Random house will publish THE MICROSOFT FILE: THE SECRET CASE AGAINST BILL GATES.
C) The government is significantly broadening its antitrust case against Microsoft. Their trial is set to begin Sept. 23 under US District Court Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson.

Your all over it Henry!
HW: ?
The term is tied to man coverage in sports. In a man to man defensive scheme, the defender is assigned a person and charged with covering him in order to prevent him from receiving the ball. You are all over the material on which you address just as a great defender is all over his assignment in a game.
Its the highest complement I know to pay!
HW: Thank you.
I am 38 years old now....given a life span of 75 years, do you think I am going to be able to benefit from IHI in this lifetime or should I set up some kind of trust fund for a future incarnation of myself?
HW: I think well before your mid-life crisis! :)
Q: Why are you not updating your Gold Section. It is so outdated. What are you XAU projections short term? Has it found a bottom? Thanks And you were so right about the 8600 this week. Thanks again
A: Our recommendations remains the same: just continue to accumulate as time goes by. Currently star picks are the majors: ABX, NEM and PDG. On our watch lists: Broken Hill Proprietary (BHP), Anglo-Gold (AU) and Canyon Resources (CAU).
Q: How often do you post any change on the web, daily or hourly, or weekly?
A: We change our web site several times a week, usually Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Market commentaries are daily during open WSNW alerts. We occasionally post more often. Our platinum subscribers receive email updates at Noon (in volatile markets) and 3pm guidance.
