2. NEW MARKET MARKER SENTIMENT COMING UP
Will there Be an early, middle or late Christmas rally? Or has it already mostly come? Mercury is changing direction on Tuesday until December 20.  I am unsure whether this will mark a rally that will end just before the Winter solstice or not. By December 7, it should be clear.  In the meantime, we are looking for tax loss selling opportunities while the new market marker sentiment develops.

There is an amazing lack of concern about the US dollar's decline. This will change when/if it triggers a sell-off in U.S. stocks and bonds.

Gold reached $450 by December 2004 as we forecast last year. Next major forecasted move is $500 by July 2005

TRADERS:          Both some negative and positive astro coming up, i.e. more traders delight.

While the internal Stock Market astrology, as in 2003, is mixed, the external risk potential is still high.

3. TechWeb | Firefox downloads | 5.6 Million Choose Firefox In First Two Weeks.
Having started to download and experiment with Firefox, I soon may stop using Internet explorer. This bodes poorly for Microsoft (MSFT). It has no special astrology to look forward to in 2005. Therefore I would continue to recommend distribution with an under perform 2005 rating above 25.

4. Swap offer for pirated Windows XP
“Microsoft is inviting anyone unsure if their copy of Windows XP software is legitimate to submit their product to Microsoft for analysis. Software that is found to be counterfeit will be replaced for free.”
We applaud this initiative. However, this does not make up for an overpriced stock and mediocre astrology.  While big fund managers are unlikely to be selling, it seems hard to justify its p/e over 35, or a price above $27, unless Nasdaq remains comfortable above 2100.

5. "The market doesn't want to go down. You are going to see that continue because some money managers are running out of time. They are behind the averages. I think money is going to get put to work between now and the end of the year."
Tom McIntyre, chief portfolio manager, McIntyre, Freedman & Flynn
HW: Unless cash IS the right answer.

“There's no escaping a weaker dollar. A lack of faith in the dollar by central banks reaffirms our bearish stance.'
Ashley Davies, currency strategist, UBS
HW: Intermediate term this is likely to have serious negative consequences for the US economy.

"I think everyone realizes the dollar is putting in a low and everyone is waiting until that bottom is reached. That second leg of the bull market, if you will, is about to come but it has to come coincident to the bottom of the U.S. dollar."
Brian Acker, CEO Acker Finley
HW: We are close in price to a short term dollar bottom, but this is only short term.

6. Blue Gold

Managers switch to stocks after election
“Corporate beneficiaries of the falling dollar are more likely to be the larger U.S.-based multinationals, so one consequence may be that the large-cap stocks will catch up to the better-performing small caps.”

China's brand names prepare to go global
“The Chinese government has said it wants at least 50 Chinese firms in the Fortune 500 list of the world's largest companies by 2010.”

7. READER: The natal first trade horoscope of GLD does not look good.
HW: Personally, I like to see an elevated Venus-Jupiter. While near a short term high, I think it will market out perform long term (2007).

READER: Thanks for giving me such intelligent answers, you answer nearly every question I have. You are in that way better than any analyst I have had.
HW: Thank you. The Leo in me enjoyed the compliment.

8. HERE WE TALK ABOUT AFUND CLIENTS
It is almost time for January effect buying.

READER: Any IHI news? Or is it too soon?
HW: We are hopeful, but will have to see what their December press release provides.
